FGC-9 Mk2 9mm Pistol

about

The FGC-9 Mk2 is a hybrid 9mm semi-automatic pistol project based on Derwood’s Shuty AP-9. This project’s predecessor, the FGC-9 Mk1, was initiated by JStark1809 with the goal of creating an AP-9 variant that could be made in Europe.

The FGC-9 Mk2’s features include:

  • Use of a homemade barrel produced by electrochemical machining or ECM
  • Use of Glock-style mags, including 3D-printable Glock magazines. The Mk2’s data package includes IvanTheTroll’s Menendez Magazine.
  • Extensive documentation to facilitate the manufacture and testing of the firearm.

Changes from the previous Mk1 iteration include:

  • Changing the charging handle to a MP5-style non-reciprocating charging handle, which also introduces a bolt-hold-open feature that the Mk1 lacked
  • A bolt design with both welded and weldless options
  • Enclosing the ejector arm inside of the upper
  • Including a primarily 3D-printable fire control group (for this reason, the Mk2 does not include files for adaptation with an airsoft FCG)
  • General tweaks and improvements to all other parts

As with the Mk1, the Mk2 requires no controlled firearm parts, as befitting its mission to be a firearm which can be printed worldwide. The “FGC” in FGC-9 stands, of course, for “Fuck Gun Control”.
