Hybrid Square Tube SMG
about
An open-bolt, full auto only printable 9mm SMG utilizing an upper receiver made from 30mm x 2mm steel square box section. Compatible with both standard and printable Glock magazines. The trigger and sear block design (combined with a filed down bolt) can be printed in PLA although a sear block cut from 15mm thick aluminum plate should ideally replace the PLA one.
The bolt body is made by combining a length of 25mm x 2mm-2.5mm mild steel square tube with a length of 20mm x 2mm square tube 16mm dia steel bar stock.
If 25mm x 2.5mm round tube is used for the bolt body, the cocking handle slot on the receiver should be relocated and positioned along the top corner at a 45 degree angle. A cheap telescoping lug wrench will provide a suitable source for 20mm tube and 16mm bar.
Two Handguard files are included, one compatible with barrels over 164mm and a shorter version for use with a 114mm long barrel.
